The Avenue Tennis Club’s School Holiday Junior Tennis Camp was held from Mond to Friday and was a great success despite the cold weather.  Some kids spent the whole week on the camp and some just dropped in and out for a couple of days.  Head Coach, Vinny Duddy appreciated the feedback from the parents with most of them saying that the kids had a great time, were tired in the evenings and that the costs of the sessions were very competitive.  Coaching was taken by Barry Ramsden, Craig Phillips, Heather Duddy, Emily Rossitter and Vinny Duddy with the kids split into Mini Reds (up to age 8), Mini Orange (8 – 10) and Yellow Ball (11+).  The next junior camp will be run from 12^th – 16^th April; application forms will be on the web site soon or places can be booked through the club on 01278 782758.

The Avenue Tennis Club is offering new members the opportunity to join the tennis club and get 14 months membership for the price of 12.  The new membership deal is subject to the new member completing a direct debit mandate that would start from the 1 April 2010 and would be at 2009 membership prices as shown on their web site www.avenuetennis.com.   Details can also be obtained from new membership secretary Di Dimond (07979 227866).

Applications for position of Club Chairman and Vice Chairman are still requested, members wishing for more detail should contact current Chairman Gordon Hunter or the office for more details. 

The next social event at the Club will be a St Patricks Themed Evening with disco and a 3 course meal on Saturday 20^th Mar- Juniors £4 and Adults £8; all are welcome to attend but please book early by completing the list in the club foyer.
