A big well done to Callum Haines and Simon Peto who represented the Avenue Tennis Club in the South West Region  Junior Save the Children Doubles Tournament after winning the local event at the Avenue in July.

Wins against Prior Park (6-3), Blundells (6-4) and a loss to Hazelgrove (1-6) saw the boys qualify for the semi finals as runners up in their box which meant they had to play the winners of box A.  Millfield came out winners of the match but the score of 6-0 did not really reflect the play with Callum and Simon both playing brilliantly.

Callum and Simon raised £72 for this very worthwhile charity and were congratulated for their efforts by local tournament organiser Barry Ramsden.

This weekend sees the turn of the adults with a ladies and mixed doubles pair travelling to Oxford to compete in their regional finals.
