Avenue Tennis Club Children in Need Tennis Tournament and Quiz Nov 21

Avenue Tennis Club Tennis Manager, Barry Ramsden, ran a tennis tournament and quiz night in support of Children in Need and raised £101.

The fun tennis tournament was run as a mixed doubles tournament, with the lady partner swapping after four games. The ladies’ winner was Josie Perry and the eventual Men’s winner was Sam Goodhew, following a four way tie on which resulted in them playing a singles knock out to determine the eventual winner.

The club also runs a free 6-week coaching course sponsored by Performance Plus Sports and run various “LTA Youth Start” junior coaching programmes. Adult courses are run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings with Saturday Pay and Play junior coaching sessions running throughout the morning and early afternoon for all age groups and abilities.
