Coaching
Coaching information can be obtained from Vinny or Craig in the office on 01278 782758.
We run group and individual sessions that are available to all – adults and juniors of all abilities and standards – members and non members.
We run a Cardio training session on a Wednesday evening for those players who are keen to stay fit and healthy whilst hitting lots of tennis balls and doing footwork drills – you don’t have to be a tennis player to enjoy the benefits of this session.
The junior coaching squads fall in line with the school terms.
We have Mini Red and Orange coaching on every night of the week, so should be able to cater for everyones hectic schedules.
We have junior Yellow Ball squad coaching on a Tuesday and Thursday night.
We have Junior Yellow, Red and Orange Ball Academy Squads available (see Avenue Academy Tab or office for details).
On a Friday nights, which we like to look at as Family Night, we have Vinny’s Minis – two fun sessions from 6:30 to 7:30 (Red Ball) and 7:30 to 8:30 (Orange/Green Ball) whilst adults can have either group coaching or join in the social play. From 8:00pm 3 courts are dedicated to the Junior Match Play night for doubles play (year 7 +).
Adult coaching is catered for on Thursday night and Saturday afternoon (intermediates) or Fridays (Beginners) or why not book an indiviudal lesson with one of the clubs LTA qualified coaches. FROM NOV 5TH 2011 there will be an adult coaching session running from 2:00 till 3:30 on a Saturday which is part of our Nov 11 New Adult Membership Deal however if you wish to attend this as it is more convenient then please feel free to do so (Members £5, Non Member £7).
On Saturdays we have Pay and Play coaching and everyone is encouraged to turn up and take part in the organised coaching which runs from 9 in the morning to 2:30 in the afternoon and is geared to caater for everyone with Red, Orange, Green and Yellow Ball sessions (with a girls only session!!!!).
If group coaching isn’t for you then see one of the coaches to organise individuals at a time and day suitable for you.
