Tennis Coaching
We have a wide range of coaching activites available for both adult and junior players of all standards that operate all year round. The Tennis Coaching is provided by Tennis Extreme, led by Head Coach, Tim Seymour and details of all the Coaching can be found on their dedicated website www.tennis-extreme.com.
Junior Coaching takes place on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and on Saturday mornings. Adult Clinics run on some Tuesday Evening with Cardio Sessions taking place on Monday mornings and Thursday evenings. If you are new or returning to tennis then our 'Getting to Grips courses on Friday evenings are a great way to get into tennis.

Adult Social Tennis Sessions
The Avenue has a number of Adult Social Sessions during the week both during the day, in the evenings and at weekends. Come down and try out the Club and see what we're all about.
Social Session Times:
Monday Evenings - Mens Squad Sessions 6.00 -9.00pm
Tuesday Evenings - Ladies Match practise 6.00 - 8.00pm
Tuesday & Thursday Mornings 10.00am - 12.00pm
Friday Evening 6.00 - 9.00pm
Sunday Morning 10.00 - 12.00pm
Upcoming Junior Tournaments
In 2024 the Avenue is starting a programme of junior tournaments to encourage our young players to get more involved in matchplay. Details of all these events together with booking links are displayed on our Tournament Webpage
Welcome to our Club....
Our aim at the Avenue Tennis Club is to have great tennis and clubhouse facilities open to all standards of playing members and to encourage social and competitive tennis for all ages and abilities including minority groups and players with disabilities., all this in a club with an atmosphere that is relaxed, friendly and welcoming, why not come along and join us.
This year we're happy to welcome our new Coaching Team headed by Tim Seymour and Paula Stitch who operate their business under the trading name Tennis Extreme. They bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience and are looking to develop and expand the range of tennis coaching opportunities and activities available both at the Avenue Tennis Club and in the wider community.

Avenue Tennis Club - Clubhouse Bookings
The Avenue Tennis Club's Clubhouse is available to book for external functions and activities. The Clubhouse has a fully stocked bar that can be made available (subject to the licensing restrictions) together with a fully equipped kitchen. The Avenue Tennis Club follows the Safeguarding and Welfare Guidelines as recommended by the Lawn Tennis Association. We're hosting an LTA Big Tennis Weekends event!
Try tennis for free this summer at an LTA Big Tennis Weekends event! Rackets and balls will be provided, so whether you’ve never picked up a racket before or you’re a seasoned regular – there is fun to be had.
