Hi All – Just a note on what is going on at your tennis club

1. New Membership Deal – New adult membership deal Nov 11 to Mar 12 – ONLY £50 to include 10 FREE Lessons on a Saturday afternoon – 2:00 till 3:30 pm.  The offer has been extended by the club until the end of Dec 11 so we should be able to honour the 10 free lessons during Jan to Mar 2012 – so please pass onto friends and family who you think may be interested.
2. Junior Tennis Coaching – we have Junior Coaching every night of the week and need to keep these squads full to ensure that we can continue to provide them; you can join up at any time of the term – it would be nice to see more players on the squads
   1. Mini Red – Mon & Fri (4:00 – 5:00) Tue, Wed, Thu (4:30 – 5:30)
   2. Mini Orange – Tue & Thu (4:30 – 5:30)
   3. Junior Yellow Ball – Tue (19:30 – 21:00) & Thu (17:30 – 19:00)
   4. Saturday Pay and Play – starts at 9:00 am and runs hourly
   5. Academy Squad Red, Orange and Yellow – contact Vinny or Craig for more details
3. The Junior and Adult Tennis Ladder – “COME ON – LET’S GET THIS GOING” – see website for details of rules – www.avenuetennis.com/tournaments/tennis-ladder. 
4. Mini Red Tournaments will take place on Sunday 27^th Nov, 13^th Feb and 4^th Mar from 11:00 am – please contact Vinny re entry – £5 for members, £7 non members.
5. Mini Orange Tournaments will take place on Sunday 27^th Nov, 13^th Feb and 4^th Mar from 13:00 pm – please contact Vinny re entry – £5 for members, £7 non members.
6. Green Ball Ratings Match Play will take place on Sunday 27^th Nov, 13^th Feb and 4^th Mar from 15:00 pm – please contact Vinny re entry – £5 for members, £7 non members.
7. Yellow Ball Ratings Match Play will take place on Saturday 25^th Feb from 1:30pm – please contact Barry re entry – £5 for members, £7 non members.
8. 8.      Committee Meeting 12^TH Jan 2012 – 7:00pm – the next Committee Meeting is on Thursday 12^th Jan 2012; if you have anything you wish brought up please let one of your Committee Members know.  Julie Cameron has agreed to take on the role of Chairwomen and Di Dimond will take on the Direct Debits as well as her Membership duties.  The very important role of treasurer will be advertised in the local newspaper as we have not had any interest from within the club – please contact a Committee Member if you wish to get involved in running YOUR Tennis Club.
9. 9.      Xmas Family Sunday Lunch 4^th Dec @ 12:00 for 12:30 – fantastic Xmas LUNCH for all your family and friends – Adults £10 and Children under 12 are £5 – please put your name on the list in the club foyer.

10.  Chairman’s Xmas Mince Pies Sunday 18^th Dec @12:30 – you are all invited to come along with your friends and family to enjoy some festive songs together with Xmas Mince Pies.

11.  Junior Xmas Party Friday 23^rd Dec @ 6:30 – for all the junior members and players attending our Tennis Squads we will have some fun games, chips, pizza, fish fingers and some Xmas songs; anyone wishing to offer any help for this evening (especially cooking the food) will be gratefully appreciated.

12.  Junior Xmas Tennis Camp -19^th – 23^rd Dec – during the Xmas Hols we will run the Junior Tennis Camp from 9:00am till 4:00pm daily.

13.  Boxing Day Social Mixed Doubles Tournament – 26^th Dec @ 11:00 (ish) – come down and run off some of the Xmas Dinner to make room for some more

14.  New Years Eve Party – GLAMOUR AND GLITZ – 31 Dec from 8:00 till next year – This event is being organised by our local residents and they are planning a fantastic Glamour and Glitz evening with Canapes, Cocktails and great music all for only £10 per person (Under 14s are free).  Tickets are available from No 4 or No 14 The Grove – please get your tickets early to avoid disappointment as they are limited.
